Backup Access to your Account!

We don't use passwords. So, you can't forget your password. Hackers can't capture your password.

But, when you first register, only the Puzzle Kit in your mobile phone can be used to access your account. [A Puzzle Kit is a Certificate + PEN (private key)] The PEN can't be backed up. That's a security measure so that no one else can ever copy your PEN and use it to impersonate you.

So, there's no way to recover your account if your phone is lost, stolen or damaged.

To ensure continued control over your account:

You should authorize additional certificates to access your account. Go to the Authenticity Alliance store to order a kit that includes:

  • A Foundational Puzzle Kit in your phone. With this, you can revoke or renew your certificates or create additional Puzzle Kits.
  • Two USB tokens with biometrics. Use these to store backup Puzzle Kits and other essential data.
    • One USB token will hold a backup Authentication Puzzle Kit for accessing this and other websites. Keep this in a secure place at home.
    • The other USB token will hold a backup Foundational Puzzle Kit. Keep this in an even more secure place: in a safe deposit box, in the safe-keeping of your Attestation Officer, or with a trusted family member who doesn't live with you.

Once you've created a backup Authentication Puzzle Kit, add the associated certificate to your account.
